Suing the Devil’ Becomes #1 Best-Selling Faith-Based Movie

NASHVILLE, April 10, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ — In a strange turn of events, that some are calling ‘providential,’ the intensely-anticipated Christian movie, ‘Suing the Devil’ became the #1 best-selling faith-based movie in the nation on ChristianCinema.com.

The film, that was one of the most illegally-downloaded indie movies in history according to the LA Times, opened at #2 on Friday on ChristianCinema.com.

“This shows us time and again,” says Tim Chey, the film’s director, “If God is for us, who can be against us?”

The film famously survived the hale storm of atheist groups and devil worshippers attacking the film non-stop since the film’s theatrical release.

At a time when only 60% of Christians believe that the devil exists, the film is exposing the devil’s greatest tactic that he doesn’t exist.

The film is available on DVD through Bridgestone Media, Wesscott Marketing, and ChristianCinema.com

The film is also available through in 90% of all cable stations through On Demand (Comcast, AT&T, Time-Warner, Cox, Cablevision, Rogers, Verizon, etc) and ITunes in the U.S. and Canada.

Anti-Christian comments such as ‘Christian propaganda,’ ‘Christian-brainwashing’ ‘Christian idiots’ and ‘Eliminate Christians’ are permeating through the film’s message boards.

“Serve God. Ignore slander. Your reward is in heaven,” said one pastor. “‘Beware when all men speak well of you,’ Luke 6:2”

One of the atheist groups emailed the producers warning of a ‘mob attack’ on IMDB. Within three days, the film’s rating dropped from a near 7 to a 4 on IMDB, which is the largest film site on the Internet.

‘Suing the Devil’ was also mentioned in the LA Times over the weekend as having over 100,000 illegal downloads on 50 illegal sites.

Suing the Devil stars Malcolm McDowell, Rebecca St. James, Corbin Bernsen, Shannen Fields (‘Facing the Giants’), Tom Sizemore, Ros Gentle, and Bart Bronson. Hillsong also participated in the movie shot in Sydney, Australia.

In the film, Luke O’Brien, a washed-up janitor turned night law student, decides to sue Satan (Malcolm McDowell) for $8 trillion dollars. On the last day before Luke files a default judgment, Satan appears to defend himself. On Satan’s legal team are 10 of the country’s best trial lawyers. The entire world watches Legal TV to see who will win the Trial of the Century.
