TheEstherCall LIVE on GOD TV this Easter

GOD TV offers hope to wounded women and stands to protect the unborn

DALLAS, April 4, 2012 /Christian Newswire/ — As Christians remember Christ’s death on the Cross this Good Friday, GOD TV will broadcast TheEstherCall LIVE, a mass event that focuses on God’s forgiveness for those who have been involved in abortion and calling viewers to pray for an end to the bloodshed of innocent lives.

Led by Lou Engle of TheCall and Laura Allred of Back To Life, TheEstherCall is the USA’s first mass women’s prayer gathering for life, with thousands of women uniting to stand in the gap as Esther did for her people, as recorded in the Bible. Esther was supported by her uncle, Mordecai and along with Lou Engle a number of men or ‘Mordecais’ will attend to support the women.
TheEstherCall will air on the GOD Channel on Friday April 6 at 1.30pm; 3pm and 9pm (EST) with a highlights program on Sunday April 7 at 10pm. The event will also be available LIVE via webstreaming atwww.god.tv/liveevents from 1pm (EST) on Friday April 6.

“More than 54 million abortions have been carried out in the USA since abortion became legal 39 years ago,” said Lou Engle, “This means that millions of women have been wounded and God wants to bring healing to them. God has called us to pray for undeserved mercy upon America, the rescuing of our children and the healing of our women.”

TheEstherCall is well timed because it comes just before a significant Supreme Court ruling that could allow for increased abortions. The leaders of TheEasterCall believe that only the praying Church can challenge this through intercession as Esther did in her day, supported by her Uncle Mordecai.

“Esther’s urgency, sacrifice and public proclamation opened a portal for God to act and like Mordecai, I am calling for thousands of Esthers to gather at TheEstherCall,” said Lou Engle. “We need to fast and pray for God’s intervention in the Supreme Court and the reversal of Roe v Wade. On Good Friday, the Esthers will apply the Blood of Jesus to the doorposts of our national guilt and pray for mercy in the nation.”

TheEstherCall will also feature the ministry of ‘Back to Life,’ a young women’s movement that aims to awaken America’s conscience to the injustices of abortion by amplifying the female voice. Thirty nine women, each one representing one year of legalized abortion in America, are walking the 250 miles from America’s largest abortion facility in Houston to TheEstherCall event in Dallas forging a trail of repentance on behalf of America.

“We encourage all our GOD TV viewers to participate in this event,” said GOD TV co-founder and director of television, Wendy Alec. “We stand with TheEstherCall in praying for Esthers and Mordecais to rise up across the nations who will bring healing into the lives of all those who have been involved in abortion and who will help prevent further innocent bloodshed.”

In addition to TheEstherCall, GOD TV has other Easter themed programming in its schedule this weekend with full highlights available on line at www.god.tv/highlights. The GOD Channel can be watched via satellite across the USA on channel 365 of DIRECTV, on cable /digital terrestrial transmission in some cities, and on the Internet at www.god.tvwhere there is also an extensive archive of programming for video on demand viewing.
